Letzte Generation Österreich

The Letzte Generation Österreich is a movement committed to mass, peaceful civil resistance against the escalating climate catastrophe and the political inaction of the Austrian government. We are a diverse group of citizens from all walks of life, acting out of love and concern for our fellow human beings and future generations.

Our mission is to draw attention to the urgent need for comprehensive climate protection measures through nonviolent resistance and to urge political decision-makers to take action. We are advocates of democracy and stand for the preservation of fundamental and human rights. Our values include transparency, efficiency, and a commitment to democratic principles. We are politically independent and view climate protection as a struggle for survival that affects us all.

Our main goal is to prevent total Earth collapse due to global warming. We are guided by scientific findings and demand the immediate implementation of the recommendations of the Climate Council as well as adherence to the agreed climate targets. Through various actions, such as protests, lectures, and workshops, we raise public awareness of the climate crisis and mobilize people to take action.

Many of our activists face high fines and criminal prosecution due to their participation in protests. To support these individuals, we collect donations that are used to cover repression costs, such as fines and legal fees. Our donation platforms allow contributions through various payment methods such as credit or debit card, PayPal, or SEPA direct debit[1].

Our Legal Team, in collaboration with the association "Rückendeckung für eine Aktive Zivilgesellschaft" (RAZ), provides comprehensive legal and emotional support for participants in our protests. RAZ supports peaceful resistance and the preservation of fundamental and human rights and handles a large number of cases in civil, criminal, and administrative law[2].

We offer various online and offline programs, such as lectures, training sessions, and community calls, to inform and mobilize people. These offerings include protest training, information evenings, and workshops that allow participants to engage more closely with the movement and the issues of climate catastrophe and civil disobedience[3][4].
