The Leinerstift is a diaconal institution of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, specializing in child, youth, and family welfare. Based in Großefehn, Ostfriesland, the Leinerstift offers a variety of care and support services for approximately 400 young people and their families.

The mission of the Leinerstift is based on the commitment to supporting and promoting children and young people in need. It is committed to comprehensive care that goes beyond mere provision and promotes education and personal development. The values of the Leinerstift are shaped by Christian principles of charity and social commitment.

The Leinerstift attaches great importance to the long-term and sustainable support of its clients. It is involved in partnerships, such as with the Polish rehabilitation facility "Zakład Poprawczy i Schronisko dla Nieletnich w Raciborzu", to promote the exchange of experiences and methods. In addition, the Leinerstift emphasizes the importance of education and vocational training to prepare young people for an independent life.

The Leinerstift was founded in 1864 by Pastor Johann Heinrich Leiner, who established a poorhouse in his community. He soon recognized the need for a specialized facility for children and founded the Ostfriesische Rettungshaus in 1865, which was later named after him. Since then, the Leinerstift has continuously developed and expanded to meet the changing needs of society. Today, it is a modern center for child and youth welfare with decentralized services in the Weser-Ems region.
