Landwirtschaftskammer Niedersachsen

The Landwirtschaftskammer Niedersachsen (LWK) is the largest consulting organization for agricultural, forestry, horticultural, and fisheries businesses in Niedersachsen. As a public corporation, it undertakes numerous important tasks on behalf of the state of Niedersachsen.

• Consulting and Education: The LWK offers comprehensive consulting services for agricultural businesses, horticultural businesses, private forest owners, and fisheries businesses. It promotes vocational training and further education in the green sector.
• Research and Experimentation: The chamber conducts research and experimentation to provide the latest findings in crop production and animal husbandry.
• Agricultural Support and Plant Protection: It is responsible for the implementation of more than 50 laws, regulations, and programs in agricultural support and plant protection.

The mission of the LWK is to strengthen the agricultural solidarity community and promote sustainable value creation in the green sector. Values such as personal responsibility, initiative, and flexibility are paramount. The LWK places great emphasis on the further development of the professional and personal skills of its employees.

The LWK is committed to sustainable agriculture and forestry. The LWK employs over 2,500 people at many locations in Niedersachsen. It is self-managed by elected representatives of the profession. These volunteer representatives make strategic decisions in the chamber assembly, the board, and committees. The LWK's headquarters are located in Oldenburg.
