Originally built on 2100-year-old German settlement remains and first mentioned in 1373, the estate was taken over by the Borsig family in 1866 and developed into a model agricultural estate. Sustainability Goals and Initiatives

As the first organic-certified hotel in Brandenburg and twice awarded as the greenest hotel in Europe (2017 & 2021), Landgut STOBER sets standards in sustainability. It produces more electricity with a photovoltaic system than it consumes and utilizes a 400 cubic meter rainwater reservoir, saving 50% of drinking water consumption. Since 2008, the estate has been independent of oil or gas prices thanks to two wood chip heating systems. Additionally, 20% of profits are donated to non-profit organizations, and 20% are passed on to employees, while 40% are reinvested to secure the estate.
