Kulturfreundschaften

Kulturfreundschaften is an innovative network that unites four significant cultural promotion associations in Hamburg: the Thalia Freunde, the Freundeskreis Elbphilharmonie + Laeiszhalle e. V., the Denkmalverein Hamburg, and the Justus Brinckmann Gesellschaft e. V. The goal of this alliance is to make the cultural diversity of Hamburg experienceable in new and exciting ways. Through the close collaboration of these associations, unique cultural projects are initiated that highlight the cultural heritage of the city and make it accessible to a wide audience.

An outstanding project of Kulturfreundschaften is the series "Hausbesuche," which focuses on the Thalia Theater, the Laeiszhalle, and the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg (MK&G) in three parts. These short films provide exclusive insights behind the scenes and showcase the connection of the directors to their institutions. Supported by Doclights GmbH, Studio Hamburg Production Group, and the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius, these films reveal surprising details and architectural contexts, accompanied by expert commentary from the Denkmalverein Hamburg.

The main mission of Kulturfreundschaften is to enrich and promote the cultural landscape of Hamburg.
