About Gesundheitsregion KölnBonn e.V.

The association unites over 140 companies, institutions, associations, chambers and local authorities with the aim of innovatively developing the region's healthcare industry and jointly exploiting its opportunities.
The association promotes exchange between experts, new business partners and service providers from various sectors. Members benefit from specialist events, jointly initiate process innovations and implement project plans with network partners.
Gesundheitsregion KölnBonn e.V. is characterized by the creation of cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary networks and promotes exchange between various actors. With its expertise, the association supports innovative projects that test and further develop integrated care approaches. A particular focus is on cross-sectoral care in order to better integrate nursing and medical services. The active involvement of civil society is essential in order to enable the transfer of scientific knowledge into functioning, accepted models.
The association's central topics include the Rhineland healthcare location, digitalization and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE in healthcare, regional healthcare, nursing, medical technology, healthy companies and mental health.
The Location Development and Marketing working group, consisting of representatives from local authorities, chambers, service providers and payers, discusses and coordinates health policy and health economy relevant topics of the individual sub-regions. It acts as an interface between the association's work and the local authorities and chambers responsible for the location.
The Gesundheitswirtschaftsregion KölnBonn comprises ten local authorities, eight of which are in North Rhine-Westphalia and two in Rhineland-Palatinate. Together, these local authorities form a total area of around 5,221 km2 and a population of almost four million.
