Kinderheim St. Alban offers children and adolescents who require residential care in the short, medium or long term a home and comprehensive care. The facility accepts infants, children and adolescents of both sexes aged 0 to 12 years. In individual cases, if there are free places in the therapeutic residential groups, temporary care as a short-term protective measure is also possible.

Kinderheim St. Alban offers therapeutic residential groups for children and adolescents aged 4 to 16 years. The focus here is on emotional stabilization, individual development support and targeted treatment of developmental deficits. A small children's group accepts infants and toddlers up to school age who are temporarily unable to live in their usual environment due to emergencies.

The goal is to provide the children and adolescents with an age-appropriate and compensatory living environment in order to compensate for educational deficits and reduce maladjustments. The children are supported in their physical, cognitive, emotional and psychological development. Through the restructuring of everyday life, school and vocational support, the reduction of behavioral problems, the mobilization of resources, the development of life and future perspectives and social integration, they should achieve an adequate educational qualification and mature into a healthy, responsible, independent personality who finds their place in society.

Kinderheim St. Alban offers a variety of leisure activities, including instrumental lessons, sports groups and dance and theater projects. The location directly on the Ammersee with its own bathing jetty and sunbathing lawn also enables a wide range of water sports activities.

The facility looks back on a long history that began in 1923 with a recovery home for children affected by the war. Over the decades, Kinderheim St. Alban has developed into a modern youth welfare facility characterized by continuous conceptual development and the introduction of quality standards.
