KATE Environment & Development e.V. is a non-profit consultancy and educational organisation based in Stuttgart, which has been committed to sustainable economics, environmental protection and development policy education for over 25 years.

• Consultancy and workshops: KATE offers comprehensive consultancy services in the areas of climate protection, sustainability, environmental protection and climate adaptation. This includes the introduction of climate management systems, GHG accounting according to the GHG Protocol, and certification according to EMAS and ISO 14001 [1] [2] [3].
• Further education: The organisation offers various further education programmes, such as the certificate course for sustainability managers, further education for auditors and consultants on ISO 14090/91, and projects such as "Climate Fit" and "Companies FAIR"[1][5].

• Employee participation: The "Enterprises FAIRändern" project encourages employees to actively engage in the sustainability management of their companies and to implement their own sustainability projects[5].

• Education in global contexts: KATE is engaged in educational work to educate and sensitize people on global issues such as climate change, nutrition and sustainable consumption.
• Networking and partnerships: The organization works closely with churches, municipalities, and development partners in Europe and Latin America to promote global solidarity.
