In Mocean

IN MOCEAN is an initiative dedicated to combating global plastic pollution by working in remote coastal communities. Our passion for the oceans and our experiences as sailors have inspired us to develop a solution for the urgent problem of plastic pollution.

• Community Recycling Workshops: We establish workshops in coastal areas where plastic waste is transformed into valuable new products. These products are sold through a network of sales partners such as hotels, restaurants, and souvenir shops.
• Education and Training: We offer workshops and hands-on training to empower local communities to collect, sort, wash, and recycle plastic waste.
• Mobile Recycling Fleet: We have equipped a fleet of sailboats with mobile recycling machines to demonstrate the potential of small-scale plastic recycling worldwide.

Our mission is to address global plastic pollution at the local level by developing solutions in partnership with remote coastal communities that are tailored to their needs. We aim to free the oceans and coasts from plastic waste while combating poverty in rural coastal areas.

• Plastic Recycling: We transform plastic waste into valuable products made and sold by local collectors and recyclers to create income opportunities and protect the environment.
• Infrastructure Development: We assist in developing infrastructures for proper household waste disposal and promote the establishment of sustainable recycling workshops.
• Awareness Raising: We are committed to raising awareness of the economic and ecological value of plastic recycling in remote communities and creating incentives for plastic waste collection.
• Collaborative Projects: We work in partnership with local communities and organizations to develop tailored solutions that address the specific needs of the communities. One example is our Re-Creativa project in Chiapas, Mexico, in collaboration with Finca Hamburgo.

IN MOCEAN is dedicated to making a positive change by transforming plastic waste into a valuable resource while improving living conditions in remote coastal areas. Our work is an important step towards clean oceans and a sustainable future.
