immohumana

immo-humana is a charitable association that has been helping single pregnant women and single mothers in housing distress since 1997. Founded with the goal of providing these women and their children with a safe and stable living situation, the association has helped more than 1,000 mothers and 2,150 children obtain their own apartments to date[2].

The main mission of immo-humana is to provide affordable housing for mothers in need, as this plays a crucial role in their quality of life and that of their children. The association advocates for the values of solidarity, compassion, and social justice, particularly supporting single mothers and single pregnant women who, due to their financial situation, have no means to obtain their own apartment[5].

immo-humana connects apartments to needy mothers and ensures that these apartments are equipped with the necessary facilities. The association not only provides housing but also additional support services such as communal areas and medical offices, allowing families to support each other and access psychological help[4].

A key focus of immo-humana is the sustainable support of refugee mothers and children, especially from Ukraine. The association plans to provide an entire floor with 17 apartments, a community room, a medical office, and storage space to offer these families a safe and supportive environment. To achieve these goals, immo-humana is seeking donations to equip the apartments with the necessary facilities[4].

In autumn 2024, immo-humana will take over the first apartments in the new immo-humana center. This center will not only provide housing but also additional facilities that meet the needs of mothers and their children. The association is working to ensure that each apartment is equipped with kitchen facilities, basic furniture, and lighting to provide families with a suitable home[4].

immo-humana has numerous success stories that highlight the importance of their work. For example, a 67-year-old grandmother who has been caring for her two grandchildren for 16 years was able to obtain a suitable apartment with the support of immo-humana. Similarly, a Ukrainian mother and her 4-year-old son received an apartment after having to leave their home due to the war[4].

The work of immo-humana would not be possible without support from donations and volunteers. The association requests donations to provide the necessary facilities for the apartments and to cover ongoing costs. Every donation, no matter how small, helps to provide mothers and their children with a better future[4].
