ichbinhier e.V. is an association that has been advocating for digital civil courage and against hate and incitement on the internet since December 2016. Founded after the Swedish model #jagärhär, the initiative aims to improve the culture of discussion in social media and promote a respectful debate culture.

The initiative #ichbinhier has already received numerous recognitions, including the GRIMME ONLINE Award, the Smart Hero Award, and the S.E.N.N.S. Award for debate culture. The initiator Hannes Ley was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit in 2018[4].
