HYPOS East Germany

HYPOS e. V., founded in 2013, is a dynamic network dedicated to promoting the hydrogen economy. With over 160 members, HYPOS combines the innovative strength of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the industrial expertise and scientific know-how of universities and research institutions. The main goal of HYPOS is to establish a cross-sectoral Green Hydrogen economy, ranging from electricity supply to the production, storage, and distribution, as well as the use of Green Hydrogen in the fields of chemistry, refining, mobility, and energy supply.

HYPOS provides a platform for exchange and collaboration among various stakeholders in the hydrogen economy. The network promotes projects that focus on the development and implementation of hydrogen technologies and supports knowledge transfer through educational initiatives such as "HYPOS macht Schule." Additionally, HYPOS is involved in the planning and expansion of the central German H2 pipeline network to accelerate the industrial use and acceptance of hydrogen applications.

The mission of HYPOS is to drive the energy transition by promoting Green Hydrogen as a sustainable energy source. The network is committed to innovation, collaboration, and sustainability, striving to establish the Central Germany region as a leading hydrogen region. HYPOS places great importance on integrating environmental friendliness and efficiency into all aspects of its projects and activities.

HYPOS pursues ambitious sustainability goals aimed at reducing CO2 emissions and strengthening Germany's energy independence. By supporting projects such as the HH2E plant in Thierbach, which converts renewable energy into Green Hydrogen, HYPOS actively contributes to the energy transition. The network also promotes dialogue between the hydrogen and IT industries to develop innovative solutions for a more sustainable energy future.

HYPOS regularly participates in significant events to promote exchange among experts and interested parties. Recently, HYPOS was an exhibitor at the Ifesca Energy Summit in Erfurt, where it presented innovative solutions that connect the potential of hydrogen and digital technologies. Furthermore, HYPOS is engaged in organizing expert forums and conferences to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the hydrogen economy.
