About Humanistische Union
editThe Humanistische Union (HU) is an independent civil rights organization that has been advocating for the protection and enforcement of human and civil rights since its founding in 1961. At the center of its work is the respect for human dignity and the right to free development of personality. The HU opposes disproportionate restrictions of these rights by the state, economy, or churches and promotes the greatest possible realization of human rights and freedom, based on democracy, the rule of law, and social diversity.
