Haus der Statistik

ZUsammenKUNFT Berlin eG is a cooperative for urban development that is dedicated to the common good-oriented transformation of the area Haus der Statistik at Berlin's Alexanderplatz. As part of the cooperative community Koop5, consisting of ZKB eG, BIM GmbH, WBM GmbH, the district Mitte, and the Berlin Senate, the cooperative aims to create a lively and diverse place for art, culture, social affairs, and education.

ZUsammenKUNFT Berlin eG offers a platform for the development and use of spaces in Haus der Statistik. These spaces are intended for social, cultural, and education-oriented projects. The cooperative organizes the allocation of areas in a multi-stage, transparent process, accompanied by a diverse committee. This committee consists of representatives from neighborhood development, active pioneer users, and external experts to ensure a fair and economically viable allocation.

The main mission of ZUsammenKUNFT Berlin eG is to establish Haus der Statistik as a model project for common good-oriented urban development. The cooperative places great value on solidarity, community, and participation. These values are reflected in the use of the spaces, which aim to break down barriers and create programs for specific communities. The diversity of users is promoted by involving actors with different backgrounds and needs.

Sustainability is a central aspect of the work of ZUsammenKUNFT Berlin eG. Within the framework of the planned experimental houses, topics such as sustainable economy, social learning, and inclusive living are addressed. These initiatives aim to promote climate- and generation-appropriate development of the neighborhood. The cooperative works closely with civil society and public authorities to develop innovative and environmentally friendly solutions.

Haus der Statistik is being gradually renovated and rebuilt to integrate affordable housing, administrative spaces, and a new town hall by 2032. The pioneer uses are already enlivening the ground floor areas and creating space for creative and social projects. Regular events and networking meetings promote exchange between the various actors and the neighborhood.

ZUsammenKUNFT Berlin eG stands for a future-oriented urban development that is focused on cooperation and the common good. Through close collaboration with various partners and the involvement of civil society, Haus der Statistik is becoming a model for sustainable and inclusive urban development.
