Girls Gearing Up

Girls Gearing Up (GGU) is an international organization dedicated to empowering and training the next generation of global female leaders. Through the Girls Gearing Up International Leadership Academy and year-round programs, we prepare girls to act as confident and motivated leaders in an increasingly complex world.

Our primary mission is to create a world where women and girls experience full equality and equity. Despite progress in many areas, there is still no country where women and girls enjoy full equality. GGU aims to address these inequalities by creating a global movement of trained and inspired future female leaders.

Our values are based on the belief that the innovative mindset and essential perspectives that girls and women bring are crucial to solving many of today's most pressing local and global challenges, such as climate change and increasing polarization.

GGU focuses on creating a sustainable and more equitable world. This includes several key initiatives:

• Leadership Academies: We offer specialized academies that provide girls with the necessary tools and confidence to become leaders.
• Global Networking: Through our international programs, we enable girls to build deep and lasting friendships with like-minded leaders from around the world.
• Education and Empowerment: We motivate and support girls to complete their secondary education and pursue further studies, ultimately leading to positive changes in their communities.
• Community Engagement: Our programs promote engagement in communities and encourage girls to share their skills and talents, thereby bringing about positive change.

GGU is made possible by a variety of supporters and partners, including individual donors, Rotary Clubs, companies like Formnext, and dedicated individuals. We offer various ways to support us, such as donations, volunteering, and corporate sponsorship.

Through these efforts, GGU works tirelessly to create a world where women and girls have the same opportunities and possibilities to act as leaders and bring about positive change.
