German-Ukranian Researchers Network

The German-Ukranian Researchers Network (GURN) is an innovative project that promotes the exchange of knowledge and expertise between German and Ukrainian researchers. The goal is to strengthen collaboration between think tanks in both countries and to expand the research competencies of young analysts. GURN provides a platform for knowledge transfer from Ukraine to Germany and supports the development of research and policy skills.

GURN offers a variety of services that promote the exchange and collaboration between German and Ukrainian experts. These include:

• Networking: GURN creates a community of researchers and analysts who can exchange ideas on current topics and developments in German-Ukrainian relations.
• Events and Workshops: Regular events such as the Ukraine Breakfast Talks in Berlin and the Germany Breakfast Talks in Kyiv provide opportunities for direct exchange and discussion of current topics.
• Publications: GURN publishes interviews, analyses, and commentaries from leading experts to promote a deeper understanding of German-Ukrainian relations.

The main mission of GURN is to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange between German and Ukrainian researchers. The network places great importance on:

Current initiatives of GURN include the UkraineMEMO series, which addresses topics such as cultural diplomacy during the war and the role of the Ukrainian diaspora in Berlin.
