Futurzwei

FUTURZWEI is a non-profit foundation that has been committed to creating a viable, future-oriented, and open society since its inception. Founded following the magazine zeozwei, which existed from 2008 to 2017, FUTURZWEI has expanded and deepened its mission.

• taz.FUTURZWEI Magazine: A quarterly magazine for politics and transformation, published since the third quarter of 2017. It provides guidance and support for an ecologically designed life and informs about the right political decisions in areas such as nutrition, energy production, consumer culture, mobility, climate change, and sustainability[1].
• Publications and Events: In addition to the magazine, FUTURZWEI organizes various events and publishes reports and studies that address future-oriented topics.
• Consulting and Networking: The foundation works across industries and nationwide on topics such as sustainable organizational structures, business and project development, and collaboration, promoting exchange between various stakeholders[5].

The main mission of FUTURZWEI is to promote a viable and future-oriented society. This is achieved by promoting sustainability, social justice, and open societal structures. The foundation advocates for a comprehensive transformation that considers economic, ecological, and social aspects[4].

FUTURZWEI focuses on several key sustainability goals:

• Ecological Transformation: The foundation supports the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies and promotes sustainable practices in agriculture and food production.
• Social Sustainability: Initiatives that combat social exclusion and promote the integration of people with special needs into the labor market are central. An example of this is the company manomama, which produces textiles under ecological and social standards[3].
• Cultural and Political Transformation: FUTURZWEI promotes a new culture of consuming and sharing as well as comprehensive political education and participation.

The foundation is supported by various organizations, including the Federal Agency for Civic Education and the German Federal Foundation for the Environment. These partnerships enable FUTURZWEI to effectively pursue its goals and expand its reach[1].
