About Future Forest Initiative
The Future Forest Initiative (FFI) is dedicated to planetary health, connecting visionaries and pioneers to develop nature-aligned innovations. As Europe's first Sustainability Hub for forest and climate, FFI harmonizes nature and human needs by providing know-how and capital to advance innovations in GreenTech, NatureTech, Bioeconomy, NBS, Biodiversity, and ForestTech. Since September 2024, it has been recognized as an official Digital Hub of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, operating as the Digital Hub Life Science & Bioeconomy with locations in Halle (Saale) and Blankenburg (Harz). The organization was founded in 2022 and employs 17 staff members.
