Freya von Moltke Stiftung

The Freya von Moltke-Stiftung is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting international understanding and peaceful coexistence in Europe. Named after Freya von Moltke, one of the most prominent female figures of the 20th century, who was active in the NS resistance group Kreisauer Kreis alongside her husband Helmuth James von Moltke, the foundation continues the legacy of these brave individuals.

The foundation is inspired by the history of Kreisau/Krzyżowa, which tells of resistance against National Socialism and German-Polish reconciliation. Its main goal is to inspire people to advocate for democracy and peace. Understanding and dialogue are the central elements of its work to build bridges between nations, religions, and generations and lay the foundation for a shared future[1][3].

• International Youth Encounters: Every year, over 15,000 young people from more than 30 countries come to Kreisau/Krzyżowa to discuss and work together on the challenges of our time.
