Flutgraben

Flutgraben e.V. is a non-profit, self-organized art association and studio community based in Berlin-Treptow. The association emerges from a diverse community of artists, groups, and initiatives that contribute programmatically and organizationally in changing constellations.

• Studios and Workshops: Flutgraben e.V. has about 3800 square meters of usable space, which includes around 50 studios available for more than 80 artists from all over the world. These encompass all artistic disciplines.
• Community Spaces: Two large shared spaces, a project room, and a multipurpose hall provide room for various artistic events and are also available for external rentals[2][4].
• Events and Exhibitions: Regularly, exhibitions, discussions, readings, concerts, performances, and other cultural events take place that reflect the diversity and creativity of the community.

• Self-Organization and Autonomy: Flutgraben e.V. is financially independent through the permanent rental of studios and the temporary rental of community spaces. Important decisions are made in the general assembly, which emphasizes the self-organization and co-determination of the members[1][2].
• Cultural Diversity and Inclusion: The community supports cultural workers, especially those who have temporarily relocated from Ukraine. The Cultural Workers Studio and the Cultural Workers Café provide a space for community and support[3][4].

• Social Sustainability: By supporting artists who have had to leave their homes due to conflicts, Flutgraben e.V. makes an important contribution to social sustainability and inclusion.
• Cultural Sustainability: The multitude of events and exhibitions ensures cultural diversity and promotes exchange between different artistic disciplines and communities.
• Self-Management: The self-organized structure of the association ensures that decision-making processes are transparent and participatory, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the community.
