editSince 2004, Fluchtraum Bremen e.V. has been tirelessly committed to improving the prospects of young people with refugee experience in Bremen. The association is firmly anchored in the local community and is passionately committed to the rights and well-being of young refugees. The main mission of Fluchtraum Bremen e.V. is to support young refugees in their social participation and integration, while ensuring a diversity-sensitive and racism-critical guidance.

edit- Counselling and support: The association offers comprehensive advice on asylum, residence and social services, and supports young refugees in everyday matters, homework and accompaniment to various appointments.
- Mentor and guardianship: Fluchtraum Bremen e.V. provides voluntary mentors and mentors for young adults as well as guardianships for unaccompanied minor refugees (UmF) [4][5].
- Centre for Encounter and Counselling: Since 2018, the association has operated a centre that serves as a contact point for young refugees, volunteers and professionals.
- Voluntary Engagement: There are many ways to volunteer, for example in the consulting cafe, as a learning mentor, pilot or in various projects. The association supports and advises volunteers to ensure a positive experience for all involved.

- Empowerment projects: Fluchtraum Bremen e.V. carries out empowerment projects such as "WE, THE FUTURE" and "Buddies of Bremen", which encourage young refugees to become active themselves and organise their own projects.
- RiseUp Youth Academy: Under the federal programme "Living Democracy!", the project "RiseUp Youth Academy" is funded, which focuses on the promotion of safe meeting places and the development of power sharing as a stance[5].
Network and cooperation

The association is a member of the German Parity Welfare Association and the Federal Association of Unaccompanied Minors Refugees (BumF) and receives institutional support from the Senator for Social, Youth, Integration and Sport.
