    About Us

The Evangelisches Schulzentrum Muldental in Grimma sees itself as an inclusive place to live and learn, committed to comprehensive and individual education since 1999. The school center, which includes a primary school with after-school care, a secondary school and a grammar school, promotes not only knowledge but also the social skills of young people.

    Educational Concept

The school center attaches great importance to each according to their abilities and therefore offers cross-grade teaching in mixed-age groups. This enables an individual learning pace and promotes independence, creativity and team spirit. The pedagogy is based on reform pedagogical approaches, in particular on Montessori pedagogy. The lessons include a variety of building blocks such as morning circle, free work and interdisciplinary project work.

    Mission and Values

Our main concern is the imparting of educational experiences that are based on Christian values and the joy of lifelong learning. An atmosphere of mutual trust, responsibility and tolerance is paramount. Parental involvement is strongly encouraged and is a central component of the school contract.

    Sustainability Goals and Initiatives

Together with the office, we are constantly working to improve the infrastructure and make school operations sustainable. This includes creating barrier-free access and expanding the support for integration children. The involvement of parents and the promotion of cooperation contribute to a stable and dynamic school community.

    Current Developments

We are currently proud to be among the TOP 20 applicants for the German School Prize 2025. Our school is constantly striving to develop innovative projects and to constantly develop in order to meet the needs of the students. With a new board team and our managing director Nora Widera, who has been on board since May 2024, we look forward to a secure future.

    For the Future

Our vision is to strengthen an inclusive school community in which every member feels valued and has the opportunity to develop their full potential. We are working towards broad support and commitment to achieve our goals and remain an attractive place to learn in the heart of Saxony.
