Einstein Foundation

The Einstein Foundation Berlin is an outstanding institution dedicated to promoting international top-level research in and for Berlin. Founded in 2009 by the State of Berlin, the foundation supports researchers who achieve extraordinary results in their fields. The Einstein Foundation is committed to the quality and robustness of research results and has established the "Einstein Foundation Award for Promoting Quality in Research." This international award recognizes researchers and institutions that advance the quality of science through innovative methods and transparent research practices. The foundation also promotes diversity in science to enable innovative and creative research.

A current example of the foundation's commitment is the awarding of the Individual Award to Dutch microbiologist Elisabeth Bik for her work on detecting image manipulations in scientific publications. This and other initiatives underscore the foundation's effort to promote scientific excellence and integrity.
