EET - Efficient Energy Technology GmbH
editEET - Efficient Energy Technology GmbH is an innovative startup specializing in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of renewable energy technologies and systems. Founded in 2016 as a spin-off of the Technical University of Graz, EET brings together the passion and expertise of its founders - DI Stephan Weinberger, Dr. Christoph Grimmer, and DI Florian Gebetsroither - to make renewable energy accessible to everyone.
Key Products and Services
editThe flagship product of EET is the SolMate system, a user-friendly photovoltaic and storage system. SolMate consists of five lightweight, flexible photovoltaic panels and a space-saving storage unit. These components can be easily mounted on a balcony railing, garden fence, or house wall and connected to the storage unit via a cable. The storage unit is then plugged into a regular socket, allowing the self-generated electricity to flow directly into the household power grid[2][4][5].
Main Mission and Values
editThe mission of EET is to bring solar power to every home, regardless of the availability of roof space, a carport, or a garden. The company aims to make renewable energy accessible to all, thus making a significant contribution in the fight against climate change. EET values humor, teamwork, and trust, promotes talent, and lives sustainability[1][2].
Sustainability Goals and Initiatives
editEET has set the goal of creating a more sustainable energy future. Through the SolMate system, it is ensured that the self-generated solar power is consumed 100% within the household, without the need to feed electricity back into the grid. This leads to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and electricity costs. Since its founding, EET has already saved over 709,000 kg of CO2 and supported more than 25,000 solar pioneers in Europe[1][5].
Expansion and Recognition
editEET has experienced significant growth and is currently expanding into countries such as Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal. The company was selected by the Financial Times in 2024 as one of the Top 100 fastest-growing European companies. This recognition underscores the success of EET's investments and efforts to achieve its goals[1][4].
With innovative solutions and a strong focus on sustainability, EET positions itself as a pioneer in the renewable energy sector and continuously works to advance the energy transition.
