EduSation

EduSation is a non-profit organization that has been engaged in preschool language promotion in Berlin since 2016. As a recognized provider of free youth welfare according to § 75, EduSation focuses on the integration and language support of children whose mother tongue is not German.

• Preschool Language Support: EduSation offers daily language support for children aged four and a half to six years, directly on-site in emergency and community accommodations as well as in schools. This support includes everyday integrated and playful methods, complemented by theater, music, dance, and art educational approaches.
• Holistic Learning Environments: In addition to language support, EduSation's programs also promote the social and emotional development of children. This is achieved through a combination of movement, music, dance, theater, and play, providing children with a comprehensive learning environment.
• Multiprofessional Teams: EduSation works with multiprofessional teams consisting of artists, therapeutic and special education teachers, to ensure diverse and effective support.
• Digital Media: The integration of digital media, such as music apps and interactive stories, supports motivated learning and overcomes language barriers.

The main mission of EduSation is to prepare children with limited or no German language skills as best as possible for the transition to primary school and to enable them equal opportunities in education. EduSation is committed to the following values:

• Holistic Support: The support includes not only language but also the social and emotional development of children.
• Innovation and Creativity: EduSation develops and implements innovative, creative methods to make learning attractive and effective.

• Long-term Partnerships: EduSation works closely with the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family, as well as with providers of community and emergency accommodations, to ensure sustainable and effective language support.
• Parental Engagement: EduSation is committed to parental engagement by using digital tools and communication platforms to support parents and facilitate the support work on-site.
• Future Workshop: EduSation sees itself as a "Future Workshop" for early childhood education by developing and testing new ways and methods to meet the future demands of diverse groups of children.

EduSation faces the challenge of maintaining and further developing its successful programs despite the upcoming changes under the "Kitachancenjahr." The goal is to continue pursuing a pragmatic approach aimed at supporting as many children as possible before they start school and securing their right to education.

With its dedicated and multiprofessional approach, EduSation makes an important contribution to equal opportunities in education and the successful preparation of children for school life.
