The Association for Democracy and Diversity (DEVI e.V.) is an organization that is committed to strengthening democracy and diversity in society with great dedication. Our goal is to counteract anti-democratic attitudes, right-wing extremism, group-related enmity (GMF), discrimination, confrontational religious expressions, and Islamism.

Our guiding principle is the promotion of democracy as a form of life, society, and governance. We are convinced that a strong democracy and respectful coexistence in diversity are the foundations for a just and inclusive society. Our values are based on respect for human rights, tolerance, and the promotion of diversity in all areas of society.

DEVI e.V. offers a variety of projects and services to achieve our goals:

• Consultation and Support for Schools: We support Berlin primary, secondary, and vocational schools in shaping religious diversity and dealing with religion-related conflicts and Islamism. This includes training for teachers, workshop discussions, and workshops for school classes[1][3].

• Support for Student Representatives: We promote active student representatives in vocational schools to strengthen a democratic and human rights-oriented culture and to combat discrimination preventively[1].

• Prevention and Resolution of Religion-Related Conflicts: We advise schools on the prevention and resolution of religion-related conflicts and provide materials and documentation points for confrontational religious expressions[1][3].

• Completed and Ongoing Projects: Our projects include, among others, support for the program "Political Education in Berlin Schools," election project days, and the project "Listen to Me – For Democracy and Diversity – against Islamophobia and Group-Related Enmity in Vocational Education"[1].

Our sustainability goals focus on the long-term promotion of democracy and diversity:

• Promotion of Social Cohesion: Through our projects and initiatives, we strive to strengthen social cohesion and promote a culture of respectful coexistence.

• Prevention of Extremism: We actively work to prevent extremism in all its forms and to establish a democratic culture in schools and vocational education institutions.

• Inclusive Communication and Participation: Through our work, we contribute to ensuring that all members of society have access to information and participation in social processes, regardless of their background or beliefs.

DEVI e.V. works closely with various partners and collaborators to effectively achieve our goals and bring about positive change in society. Our work is characterized by the belief that a strong democracy and a diverse society are the foundations for a better future.
