Deutschlandstiftung Integration

The Deutschlandstiftung Integration is a non-profit foundation based in Berlin, founded in 2008 by the Association of German Magazine Publishers. Under the patronage of Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the foundation advocates for equal opportunities and integration of people with migration backgrounds in Germany. Its goal is to strengthen social cohesion and ensure the future viability of Germany.

The foundation offers a variety of programs and projects aimed at promoting the professional and social networking of people with migration backgrounds. Among the most important initiatives is the GEH DEINEN WEG program, an ideal scholarship and mentoring program that supports talented young people on their path into the professional world. Other projects like Diversify, Fast Track, and Vielfalt stiften support integration and promote diversity in various social areas.

The mission of Deutschlandstiftung Integration is to lead integration in Germany to success. It particularly advocates for young people with migration backgrounds to open up opportunities in training, education, and entry into the labor market. The foundation firmly believes that diversity enriches our coexistence and that it is important to respect religious, ethnic, and cultural differences to ensure peaceful coexistence.

Deutschlandstiftung Integration works closely with strategic partners such as EDEKA, Coca-Cola, and Mercedes-Benz to support its programs. These partnerships highlight the importance of integration for the German economy and enable the foundation to continue its work successfully. The partners are not only financially committed but also actively involved by providing mentors and organizing seminars and training sessions.

Current initiatives of the foundation include the awarding of the TALISMAN prize, which honors individuals who are committed to social cohesion. In 2024, journalist Dunja Hayali was awarded for her efforts against hate and discrimination. Additionally, the foundation launched the campaign #MeineStimmeGegenHass to mobilize against racism and right-wing extremism.

Deutschlandstiftung Integration sees itself as a bridge between people with and without migration backgrounds and as a driving force for an open and inclusive society. Through its diverse programs and initiatives, it actively contributes to reducing prejudices and promoting integration in Germany.
