Deutsche Unternehmensinitiative für Energieeffizienz (DENEFF)

The Deutsche Unternehmensinitiative für Energieeffizienz (DENEFF) is an initiative that has acted as one of the leading voices for energy efficiency in Germany and Europe since 2010. With over 220 member companies from various industries, including international corporations, innovative medium-sized enterprises, and disruptive start-ups, DENEFF forms a broad and diverse network.

DENEFF brings together companies with outstanding products and services in the field of energy efficiency. Members include firms from the areas of building technology, mechanical engineering, engineering offices, energy services, software development, and more. This diversity enables comprehensive knowledge exchange and the development of innovative solutions along the entire value chain.

The main mission of DENEFF is to represent the energy efficiency sector in Berlin and Brussels and to promote political frameworks that enable ambitious and effective energy and climate policy. DENEFF is passionately committed to sustainable energy policy and effective climate protection, based on the principle of "Efficiency First," which is anchored in the EU Governance Regulation and the Energy Efficiency Directive.

DENEFF focuses on promoting energy-efficient solutions and shaping the energy transition through close collaboration between business and politics. The initiative supports the development and scaling of energy efficiency innovations and promotes knowledge exchange in learning energy efficiency networks. Through regular events, such as the DENEFF LIVE Update and the Start-Up Night, DENEFF brings the right stakeholders together to develop new solutions for sustainable energy supply.

A central aspect of DENEFF is the network and dialogue between members and politics. The initiative provides a high-profile platform for knowledge exchange and the joint shaping of the energy debate.
