editDemokratie & Dialog is a non-profit organization that has been committed to promoting a vibrant democracy since 2008. Our main focus is on political education for youth and adults, with an emphasis on education, democracy, and participation. We are convinced that a democratic society can only thrive if all its members are actively involved in shaping it. Therefore, our goal is to enable dialogues and promote democracy in Europe across borders and generations.
Our Mission and Values
editOur mission is to empower young people and provide them with the tools they need to actively engage in society. We believe in the power of empowerment and want to open spaces for participation where people are encouraged to advocate for their interests. Democracy should be made tangible, and we offer young people the opportunity to experiment and gain experiences of self-efficacy. Dialogue and encounter are at the center of our work, as we create opportunities to step out of one's own experiences and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Key Projects
editOur projects are diverse and aim to promote the participation of young people. These include the Children's and Youth Office Neukölln, the Voluntary Year Participation, the Academy for Young Engagement, and Young Perspectives Neukölln. These initiatives provide young people with the opportunity to actively contribute and bring their perspectives into the shaping of society.
