Civilfleet-Support e.V.

Civilfleet-Support e.V. was founded in 2018 to support organizations and civil society actors who advocate for the rights and dignity of people on the run and in distress at the EU external borders. Our goal is to promote a strong and united civil society to counteract daily human rights violations.

Our mission is to generate and distribute donations to provide humanitarian aid at the EU external borders. We see ourselves as a platform and network for various projects that support refugees and enforce human rights. We stand for solidarity, human rights, and the promotion of civic engagement[2][4].

• Support for Search and Rescue: We support search and rescue missions by providing equipment and funding for mission costs, especially on ships like those of Sea-Watch, Sea-Eye, and the Louise Michel[4].
• Assistance at the EU External Borders: We support local aid organizations and provide a platform for solidarity projects. Our work also includes raising awareness and creating a critical public to address human rights violations[2][4].
• Networking and Infrastructure: We offer shared infrastructure such as office space and IT, as well as cross-project personnel in administration to use donations efficiently[4].

• Funding and Transparency: As a non-profit legal entity, we place great importance on transparency and accountability. Our financial reports and annual reports document the use of donations and the projects carried out[4].
• Education and Awareness: We promote education and civic engagement to raise broader public awareness of the issues at the EU external borders[4].
• Human Rights: Our focus is on enforcing human rights, especially at hotspots of the EU external borders, where people are often disenfranchised and confronted with violence[2][4].

Civilfleet-Support e.V. has supported and enabled dozens of projects in recent years, mainly thanks to the support of over 180,000 donors. We continue to advocate for the rights of refugees and work to improve the humanitarian situation at the EU external borders[2][4].

Through our work and our networks, we make an important contribution to promoting solidarity and human rights in Europe.
