Mission and Values
editThe main mission of CFM is to support Charité in its role as a leading university hospital in Europe by providing a smooth and efficient infrastructure. The company's values are based on quality, safety, and social commitment. CFM places great importance on compliance with standards and the promotion of an integral working environment.
Sustainability Goals and Initiatives
editSustainability is a central component of CFM's corporate strategy. An outstanding example is the introduction of vertical farming modules, which allow herbs and salads to be grown on-site in organic quality. This initiative not only promotes local production but also reduces the ecological footprint. Furthermore, CFM is working on the development of a cold district heating network that utilizes natural geothermal energy for climate-neutral heating and cooling supply. This technology promises significant savings in energy costs and emissions.
Social Engagement
editCFM is actively involved in social projects, such as the annual Nikolaus climbing event, where industrial climbers dressed as Santa Clauses visit children in the clinic and distribute gifts. Such initiatives underscore CFM's commitment to the community and the well-being of patients.
Future Orientation
editCFM is committed to continuously developing advanced approaches and technologies to make building operations more sustainable. Through close collaboration with academic institutions and participation in networks such as OPIK, a benchmarking round for technical management in hospitals, CFM remains at the forefront of innovation in facility management.
With its comprehensive service offerings and commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, Charité CFM Facility Management GmbH plays a crucial role in ensuring that Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin maintains its leading position in medical care, research, and teaching.
