editThe Auehof Reese, idyllically located in the Steyerberg district of Reese, is a traditional agricultural operation with a history dating back to 1241. The farm, named after its location by the Warmen Aue, a tributary of the Weser, has steadily developed over the centuries. Since 1936, it has been owned by the Röhrs family, and in 1987, it was taken over by Ernst Röhrs jun. and converted to organic farming. Since then, Auehof has been a member of the Bioland association and manages its land according to its strict guidelines.
