Aktion Agrar is a non-profit organization that has been advocating for a comprehensive change in agricultural policy in Germany and Europe for years. Our team consists of dedicated activists, campaigners, and experts who work together with farmers and allies for a future-oriented agriculture.

Our mission is to promote an agricultural policy that is ecologically sustainable, socially acceptable, and farmer-oriented. We oppose an agricultural policy that has lost sight of the common good and instead prioritizes the interests of agribusinesses. Our values are based on a commitment to climate justice, animal welfare, environmental protection, and supporting family farms so they can thrive from their work[1][2][4].

• Campaigns and Actions: We organize creative campaigns, background research, and participatory actions to drive the agricultural transition. Examples include our campaigns against the cheap meat system, for fair milk prices, and against food waste[1][4].
• Educational Projects: We offer workshops and educational materials to inform about current agricultural policy issues and invite participation. One example is our action booklet "Tackling Agricultural Change!", which presents concrete alternatives and ideas for climate-friendly agriculture[2][4].
• Networking Work: We closely cooperate with environmental and animal welfare organizations as well as agricultural networks to strengthen the best solutions for animals and people and to advocate for change together[2].

A central goal of Aktion Agrar is to reduce livestock numbers in agriculture to minimize negative impacts on climate, biodiversity, soil and water quality, and animal suffering. Our campaign "Fewer Farm Animals, More Future" aims to promote concrete and reliable measures in agricultural policy that enable animal-friendly and more ecological farming[2].

We also advocate for the preservation of diverse landscapes and the protection of rural areas by countering the power of agribusinesses and strengthening alternative, family-oriented agricultural models. Through our work, we aim to ensure that farmers can live well from their work and that agriculture promotes healthy food and a clean environment[1][2][4].
