Transparency International is seeking a Thematic Lead for Corrupt Money Flows to enhance its policy change initiatives and advocacy efforts against corruption.
Tasks
- Lead the development of the thematic area and its strategic planning
- Develop Transparency International’s policy positions and recommendations
- Identify opportunities and emerging areas of policy work
- Support the design of innovative products
- Lead on the production of evidence-based policy papers
- Work with Transparency International chapters and partners
- Support policy/advocacy engagement with multilateral bodies

- Liaise with Transparency International’s national chapters
- Write and publish about Transparency International’s evidence and policies
- Provide technical advice to TI-S management
- Support the Campaigns Lead and Communications team
- Support fundraising efforts
- Contribute to the overall functioning of the team
Requirements
- Postgraduate university degree and/or professional qualification in social science, public policy, journalism, international law, economics, management or another relevant field
- 7+ years of relevant progressively responsible professional experience in anti-money laundering and anti-corruption
- High level of expertise in anti-money laundering, illicit financial flows and anti-corruption
- Demonstrated understanding of anti-corruption and anti-money laundering from research and policy perspectives
- Experience in engaging in policy formulation with global and regional standard-setters
- Experience in designing actionable policy recommendations
- Ability to engage with high-level policy makers and civil society
- Experience with public speaking and media engagements
- Proven ability to provide concise, strategic policy and advocacy briefings
- Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain a strategic network of partners
- Self-organiser with ability to prioritise amid competing demands
- Flexible strategist able to adapt approaches based on latest intelligence
- Sound knowledge and experience of incorporating MEAL in advocacy strategy
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages, particularly French and/or Spanish, an asset
- High level of intercultural competence, diplomacy and political sensitivity
