Intro
The Technical Support Engineer position at Octopus Energy Services in the South East region involves supporting the installation of heat pump systems in domestic properties to drive the global renewable energy revolution. Tasks
- Ensure all surveys are viable for installation
- Review and revise technical check and support process
- Support sales and design team with technical questions
- Support customers with software
- Carry out site visits with installation teams and surveyors
- Support area managers in onboarding new electricians
- Lead team to make quick decisions prioritizing customer needs
- Collaborate on technical specifications and mechanical drawings
- Deliver exceptional customer experience
- Provide low-carbon advice to customers
- Participate in safety culture revisits following audits
- Enhance efficiency among electricians in the team
Requirements
- Proven experience in installing air source heat pumps
- Qualified as a plumbing and heating engineer or electrician
- Strong knowledge of heating system design and fault-finding skills
- Understanding of domestic hot and cold water systems
- Skilled in reviewing technical specifications and mechanical drawings
- Expertise in electrical installations
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems designed to standards
- Track record of delivering outstanding customer service and meeting KPIs
