The Mission
Are you fascinated by space, data, and the impact of technology on environmental issues? We use space-based technology to detect and monitor wildfires and combat climate change. This role will be instrumental in building and operationalizing the department, supporting the Head of Data Science & AI. We are looking for a proactive, driven student passionate about deep tech, rapid prototyping, and innovation processes to work on both strategic and operational tasks in a high-impact environment.
What you’ll be doing

Assist in setting up a structured innovation management process, including defining and implementing maturity gates and a monitoring process of ongoing activities.

Develop formats and frameworks that facilitate rapid prototyping and enable swift go/no-go decision-making processes.

Create and manage selective, cross-departmental processes to evaluate and mature ideas from inception to potential commercial product candidates to inform further investment.

Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, aligning with the Tech and Commercial departments to ensure priority and resource alignment for innovation initiatives.

Design and lead workshops to engage experts across OroraTech and with external contractors.

Support the creation of visually appealing presentations and materials to communicate ideas, product concepts, and project status effectively to stakeholders.

(<20%) Provide organizational assistance to the Head of Data Science & AI, including preparing materials for leadership meetings and coordinating department initiatives. Support the Head of Department with agenda planning, follow-up actions, and stakeholder management across departments.
Relevant Skills
-
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Innovation Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Familiarity with innovation processes, rapid prototyping, and tech-business translation.

Experience or coursework in stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, value proposition development, and decision-making frameworks.

Strong skills in visual design and presentation creation, with an ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and appealing way.

A high level of autonomy, strong organizational skills, and an ability to manage multiple tasks.

Excellent communication skills for engaging and aligning stakeholders across internal functions and external partners.

Understanding of Earth observation technology is an advantage but not mandatory.
