Intro
The Technical Director, Sustainable Coffee position at Conservation International involves managing the development of a global coffee program focused on climate change adaptation and mitigation. The role requires expertise in the coffee supply chain, sustainable agriculture practices, and program management. The Technical Director will lead proposal development, provide technical guidance to teams, engage with stakeholders, and support portfolio oversight. This position is part of the Center for Regenerative Economies and reports to the Senior Director, Sustainable Coffee.
Tasks
- Lead the development of funding proposals for public, corporate, and private funders
- Provide technical guidance to HQ and field teams working on coffee
- Engage external stakeholders critical to program success
- Support the Senior Director by providing technical support and monitoring of projects in the portfolio
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, agricultural economics, sustainability, or relevant field
- 7 to 10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role
- Proven track record in leading and writing successful technical proposals
- Advisory experience with corporate entities related to sourcing, sustainability, and/or climate
- Proficiency in Spanish
