Intro
The German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) is seeking a Student Assistant to support a research project on justifying repression in authoritarian regimes of the Arab world. The role involves assisting the principal investigator, organizing a project workshop in Tunis, researching sources related to the 2011 protests in North Africa, and managing literature. Proficiency in English and either French or Arabic is required, along with knowledge of comparative politics and/or Middle East and North African politics. The position is part-time, with the option to work from home and occasional presence in Hamburg.
Tasks
- Assisting the principal investigator in project-related activities
- Organizing project workshops

Requirements
- Proficiency in English and another language (French or Arabic)
- Currently enrolled student in relevant field
