Intro
Beyond Fossil Fuels (BFF) is seeking a Social Media Manager to administer their social media accounts, create engaging content, and grow their digital presence to support the transition to a fossil-free, renewables-based energy system in Europe. The role involves developing and implementing social media strategies, managing content calendars, driving organic growth and engagement, collaborating with partners, and staying updated on industry conversations and trends. The ideal candidate should have experience in energy, climate, or environmental organizations, strong writing and social copywriting skills, and a passion for promoting a sustainable society.
Tasks
- Design and implement social media strategy
- Create engaging content for social media channels
- Collaborate with teams and partners for message consistency
- Manage content calendars and scheduling
- Drive organic follower growth and engagement
- Plan and execute paid social media promotions
- Stay up-to-date with industry conversations and trends
- Create visuals for social media, website, and newsletters
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in social media management for civil society organizations
- Comprehensive understanding of energy transition in Europe
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience in content calendar management and post scheduling
- Proven track record of driving organic follower growth and engagement
- Skilled in social media trends and influencer management
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
