Join OpenProject as a Senior Ruby on Rails Backend Engineer and help us build an intuitive open source project management software.

Support the creation of a project management tool that users love to use
Develop secure, well-tested, and performant features and improvements
Craft code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices
Collaborate with product managers and designers to conceive new features
Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, performance, and architecture
Recognize impediments to team efficiency and propose solutions
Evaluate the production behavior of OpenProject in SaaS infrastructure and on-premises
Support customers on technical requests when needed

Solid understanding of the Ruby on Rails Framework, relational databases, and web technologies
At least 5 years of experience in relevant fields
Ability to craft stable, scalable, fast, and flexible applications
Comfortable working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process
Effective communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
Alignment with the company's core values (OPENP)
Proficient in the English language (both written and verbal)
Nice to have: experience developing APIs, contributing to open source software, and experience with the OpenProject product
