Intro
The Senior Private Sector Partnerships Officer is a senior managerial position responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for private sector partnerships, managing fundraising programs, overseeing budgeting and staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations. The role involves working closely with UNHCR staff, donors, and media partners to maximize fundraising efforts and support UNHCR's mission. The officer plays a key role in increasing funds raised in the market, developing donor acquisition and retention programs, and maintaining donor databases and communication materials. Additionally, the officer collaborates with various teams within UNHCR to identify program areas for support and secure donations from private partners.
Tasks
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for Private Sector Partnership in the market
- Contribute to the development of the annual country Private Partnerships and Philanthropy income
- Manage and/or oversee the PSP budget in the AOR
- Effectively lead the PSP team within the AOR to substantially increase the funds raised in the market
- Enforce the Organization's global private sector fundraising strategy in the AOR
- Oversee the development of an individual giving acquisition program
- Advise on PSP investments on the different fundraising channels
- Develop and/or oversee cordial relations with relevant corporate donors and media partners
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a donor database
- Ensure the submission of regular reports to the relevant internal recipients inside UNHCR
- Ensure the compliance with the relevant domestic law related to fundraising practice
- Manage PSP activities and staff within the AOR to ensure efficient fundraising operations
- Approve UNHCR corporate brand and its delivery for public engagement within the AOR
- Coordinate and work closely with Representative(s) and Communications team to integrate plans
- Ensure coordination with programme, livelihoods, durable solutions and other key UNHCR staff in the AOR
- Lead risk assessments and discussions with team(s) to proactively manage risks and seize opportunities
Requirements
- Experience in private sector partnerships and fundraising
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
- Knowledge of fundraising practices and donor relations
- Experience in budget management
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of relevant domestic laws related to fundraising
