Intro
Join VÆRIDION as a Senior High Voltage Systems Engineer and contribute to the design and development of high voltage systems for aircraft, working in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Tasks
- Lead and execute technical tasks within the propulsion department for the Microliner development and certification.
- Define, architect, size, specify, develop, and integrate the high voltage distribution system in the aircraft.
- Develop physical and functional interfaces (ICDs) between the high voltage system and the aircraft structure.
- Coordinate HV system safety analysis and conduct system engineering tasks.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform HV system validation and verification activities as per aerospace standards.
- Develop and integrate the high voltage system digital mock-up (DMU) with the aircraft 3D model.
- Select, interact with, and manage suppliers for HV components development and integration.
- Lead the installation and integration of HV systems on an aircraft level.
- Coordinate and implement HV EWIS as per safety and installation requirements.
- Participate in supplier Technical Review Meetings and Program Review Meetings.
- Define and plan HV equipment qualification campaigns with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Support HV system hardware and software testing campaigns.
- Provide engineering support for prototype final assembly and integration ground tests.
- Ensure adherence to engineering processes and standards and participate in design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical systems design and integration within an aerospace OEM.
- Proficiency in high voltage system design and analysis, including risks such as arc faults and electric shock.
- Practical experience with aircraft certification process (preferably EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).
- Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization or equivalent.
- Knowledge of systems engineering and safety analyses per aerospace standards.
- Experience with electrical load analysis and electrical system simulation.
- Assertive communication skills and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to interact efficiently with customers, authorities, suppliers, and internal units.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Skilled in navigating design uncertainties and driving progress.
- Positive attitude and collaborative approach in a multicultural team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
- Passionate about aviation and electrification of the aviation industry.
