    Intro

    At JUCR we work hard to bring the future of EV charging to regular people by providing the best charging hard- and software. We aim to create the most exciting and seamless experience for every electric car driver so they can enjoy the freedom of e-mobility. We are looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer.

    Tasks

    • Design and develop hardware solutions for EV chargers, focusing on communication interfaces (including RS485, USB, Ethernet, WiFi, etc.) and HMI.
    • Develop and implement power meter interfaces to ensure accurate and reliable energy measurements.
    • Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
    • Conduct hardware testing and validation to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
    • Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware solutions with system software.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Perform design reviews and provide feedback to ensure quality and efficiency.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in EV charging technology and hardware design.
    • Document design specifications, test procedures, and other technical documentation.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • 8+ years of experience in hardware design, preferably in the EV or automotive industry.
    • Strong knowledge of communication protocols and power meter interfaces.
    • Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
    • Experience with hardware testing and debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
    • Familiarity with EMC/EMI compliance and safety standards for EV chargers.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
