    Intro

    As a Senior Aeroelasticity & Loads Engineer (all genders), you will significantly contribute to the design, development, and certification of the Microliner, particularly addressing the design challenges of a slender wing with integrated batteries.

    Tasks

    • Contribute significantly to the definition, sizing, specification, development, and integration of the wing-battery integration.
    • Proactively lead and execute technical tasks within the Flight Physics Department for the Microliner’s development and certification.
    • Perform aeroelastic simulations of current designs and perform design-of-experiments on candidate designs.
    • Set up a framework for consistent load calculation and documentation.
    • Define part of the scope and be strongly involved in the wind tunnel and structural test campaigns.
    • Actively participate in major program milestones such as PDR, CDR, First Flight, and Type Certification.
    • Provide full engineering support for prototype final assembly and initial integration ground tests.

    Requirements

    • Study degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
    • Proven experience of at least 5 years in aeroelasticity, dynamics, and loads within an aerospace OEM.
    • Solid understanding of aircraft loads and aeroelasticity; fundamentals in aerodynamics, rigid body dynamics, statics, & dynamics.
    • Experience with composite structures and aeroelastic tailoring.
    • Demonstrated experience with various levels of fidelity of simulation.
    • Experience with analysis tools such as MATLAB, Ansys, and Catia.
    • Experience with experimental testing and model validation is a plus.
    • Practical experience with aircraft certification programs (preferably EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).
    • Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent.
    • Assertive and clear communication skills, results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
    • Ability to interact efficiently with authorities, suppliers, and internal organizational units.
    • Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple simultaneous tasks.
    • Skilled in navigating early design uncertainties and driving progress through proactive proposals.
    • Positive and optimistic attitude, with a collaborative approach in a multicultural team.
    • Passionate about aviation and the electrification of the aviation industry.
    • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or other language would be beneficial.
