    Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors (IfADo), Dortmund

    ‘Forschungsgesellschaft für Arbeitsphysiologie und Arbeitsschutz e.V. Dortmund’ (legal entity name) is a research institution institutionally funded by the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is the sponsor of ’Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors at TU Dortmund’ (IfADo). IfADo explores the risks and potentials of modern work in interdisciplinary approaches. We combine the disciplines of Ergonomics, Immunology, Toxicology, Psychology & Neurosciences.

    The Department of Toxicology has an immediate vacancy for a

    research assistant (m/f/d)

    to be filled. The position is initially limited until 30.11.2026. A subsequent extension is possible if the project is extended.

    Your tasks:

    • Development and processing of scientific research projects
    • Interest in setting up an independent working group in the field of “Inflammation research of the liver”

    Your Qualifications:

    • University degree in biology, biological chemistry, biotechnology, toxicology, medicine, bio-chemistry or a related field
    • Doctorate (Dr rer. nat.) preferably in the field of ‘inflammation research
    • Experience in FACS analysis, fluorescence microscopy and single-cell RNA sequencing (or in-terest in acquiring this)
    • Experience with cell culture, qRT-PCR and mouse experiments
    • Team player, flexible, highly motivated
    • Ability to work independently, but also to work in a team and set up your own laboratory
    • High interest in keeping up to date with innovations and the latest literature
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English

    • This is a full-time position with currently 39.83 hours per week
    • Remuneration according to the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (Position value EG 13/14 TV-L. The classification is dependent on the collective agreement and personal requirements)
