Zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt suchen wir Sie als Referent/in für Lernen und Innovation im Anticipation Hub (m/w/d).
Die Stelle ist im Bereich Internationale Zusammenarbeit des DRK-Generalsekretariates verankert und dem Team Fachliche Entwicklung und Innovation zugeordnet. Teil des Teams ist der Anticipation Hub, eine globale Initiative, die das DRK gemeinsam mit der Internationalen Föderation der Rotkreuz- und Rothalbmondgesellschaften und dem Rotkreuz- und Rothalbmond-Klimazentrum steuert. Der Anticipation Hub ist eine Plattform, die den Wissensaustausch, das Lernen und die gemeinsame Vertretung der vorausschauenden humanitären Hilfe im humanitären System sicherstellt.
Gemeinsam mit Ihren Kolleginnen und Kollegen tragen Sie dazu bei, den Anticipation Hub als Plattform für die Community der vorausschauenden humanitären Hilfe weiterzuentwickeln.
Die Beschäftigung erfolgt in Vollzeit. Das Beschäftigungsangebot ist zunächst auf bis zum 31.12.2025 befristet.
Ihre Aufgaben:
Sie sind verantwortlich gutes und nachhaltiges Lernen sowie bedarfsorientierte Innovation in der Anticipation Community zu ermöglichen.
Das bedeutet im Einzelnen:
- Erfassung des vorhandenen Wissens und gemeinsame Entwicklung von hochwertigen Lern- und Trainingsmaterialien in Zusammenarbeit mit Expertinnen und Experten der vorausschauenden humanitären Hilfe
- Konzeption und Unterstützung der Durchführung von Lernaktivitäten in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Koordinationsteam des Anticipation Hub (Internationale Föderation der Rotkreuz- und Rothalbmond-Bewegung, Rotkreuz- und Rothalbmondklimazentrum und Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) und anderen Partnern
- Unterstützung der Koordinierung und Umsetzung der Arbeitspakete der organisationsübergreifenden Arbeitsgruppen des Anticipation Hub
- Proaktive Bereitstellung von unterschiedlichen Wissensprodukten zur vorausschauenden humanitären Hilfe, wie z.B. die Pflege und Aktualisierung von Tools wie einer Weltkarte auf der Anticipation Hub Webseite, Datenbanken für frühzeitige Maßnahmen, etc.
- Unterstützung der kooperativen Wissens- und Innovationsentwicklung durch aktive Koordination mit Praktikern im Bereich antizipatorische Maßnahmen und Arbeitsgruppen zu neuen Produkten und Fallstudien. Zudem enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Content Manager des Anticipation Hub, um relevante Inhalte auf der Website zu veröffentlichen.
Wir erwarten:
- Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium in einem relevanten Fachgebiet
- Mindestens fünf Jahre Berufserfahrung in den Bereichen humanitäre Hilfe, Entwicklungszusammenarbeit, Katastrophenvorsorge oder Anpassung an den Klimawandel
- Erfahrung innerhalb der Rotkreuz- und Rothalbmond-Bewegung ist von Vorteil
- Erfahrung in der konstruktiven und ergebnisorientierten Zusammenarbeit mit sehr unterschiedlichen Akteuren
- Praktische Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Bereitstellung von qualitativ hochwertigen Lern- und/oder Trainingsmaterialien für Akteure der humanitären Hilfe und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit ist wünschenswert
- Bereitschaft zu internationalen Reisen und die Fähigkeit, unter tropischen Bedingungen zu arbeiten
- Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse; weitere Sprachkenntnisse sind von Vorteil

Learning and Innovation Manager, Anticipation Hub (m/f/d)
The German Red Cross (GRC) is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the largest humanitarian network in the world. In our work both internationally and at home, the GRC is committed to the seven principles of the Red Cross: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality.
Working in the GRC National Headquarters in Berlin, you will help shape the future direction of the DRK e.V. as a national Red Cross society and umbrella organisation of non-statutory welfare organisations. Every day, you will support GRC’s work providing comprehensive aid for people in conflict situations, disasters and health or social emergency situations, solely based on their level of need.
At the next possible date we are looking for you as Learning and Innovation Manager, Anticipation Hub (m/f/d).
The position is located in the German Red Cross headquarter in Berlin in the International Cooperation Division and the Knowledge and Innovation Department. This department is responsible for thematic areas in international cooperation and is implementing a global project funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, which includes the Anticipation Hub.
In this position, you will be part of the Anticipation Hub, a knowledge platform and network aimed at promoting learning, exchange and collaborative advocacy in the field of anticipatory humanitarian action. The Anticipation Hub is a joint initiative of the GRC, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre (Climate Centre).
The employment is full time. The employment offer is initially limited to until 31.12.2025.
• Capture existing knowledge and co-develop high-quality learning material in partnership and collaboration with anticipatory action experts
• Design and support the delivery of learning activities of the Anticipation Hub in collaboration with the Anticipation Hub coordination team (IFRC, Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre and the German Red Cross) and other partners as required
• Support the coordination and implementation of work packages from the Anticipation Hub inter-agency working groups, and adapt them to specific regional needs
• Proactively support the accessibility of anticipatory action knowledge (including methodologies, tools, resources and access to experts) and tools (including the global map, early action, trigger and evidence databases) to be featured and regularly updated on the Anticipation Hub website
• Support knowledge co-creation and innovation by proactively coordinating with anticipatory action practitioners and working groups with regards with new products and case studies, and liaise with the Anticipation Hub Content Manager to upload relevant content on the website
Your profile:
• At least 5 years of field experience in humanitarian assistance, development cooperation, disaster risk reduction or climate change adaptation
• Experience working within the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement is an asset
• Experience in cross-sector and multi-stakeholders’ collaboration and engagement with a broad range of actors
• Hands-on experience developing and delivering high quality learning materials for humanitarian and development actors is considered an asset
• Willingness to travel internationally and ability to work in tropical conditions
• Required proficiency in English, with knowledge of other languages is an asset
