About the position

Cero Generation is a leader in the development, production and storage of solar and battery storage projects and is accelerating the path to a carbon-neutral future in Europe.

With an experienced team that brings globally recognized expertise in the fields of industry, business, technology and the environment, Cero is active in all phases of the project lifecycle - from planning to construction and operation. Together with local development partners, suppliers and stakeholders, we implement projects that have a positive impact on both the environment and the general public.

In this role, you will take responsibility for the development and management of our renewable energy projects in Germany and report directly to the management in Germany.

The goal of this role is to initiate and manage the development of new battery and solar projects in Germany within the strategic framework and corporate objectives. You will work closely with Cero's development partners and consultants.

Main Tasks

• Supporting the Cero team in developing a strategy for Germany.
• Identification and acquisition of new projects through the establishment of processes and tools for site evaluation.
• Participation in the evaluation and analysis of projects.
• Coordination of land security through the management of land acquirers or partners.
• Initiation and coordination of the approval process with detailed knowledge of the German project development process.
• Ensuring project readiness for presentation to the Investment Committee (IC) and participating in decisions on EEG and PPA type tenders.
• Active project management, including progress reports and financial and risk reporting to the CEO, management and board of the company.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key industry players, institutions, authorities and partners, as well as lobbying.
• Collaborate with the entire development team on strategic projects to achieve company goals.

Requirements for the Position

• Experience: Proven expertise in developing renewable energy projects in Germany, including identifying suitable sites (greenfield development), conducting environmental assessments and obtaining the necessary permits.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to work successfully with diverse stakeholders such as property owners, local authorities and communities.
• Innovative Spirit: Enthusiasm for working on new and innovative projects in a dynamic and future-oriented environment.
• Expertise: At least five years of experience in the successful development of renewable energy projects with in-depth knowledge of administrative and environmental legal procedures in Germany.
• Language Skills: Fluent German and good English skills are required for this role.
