Tasks
- Consulting projects with a focus on global agricultural supply chains such as coffee, cocoa, cotton, corn, palm oil, coconut and more
- Develop customized greenhouse gas calculations for entire agricultural supply chains applying different tools and standards
- Support in the development and implementation of a new certification system for sustainable peat substitutes
- Work on various topics related to sustainability certification, including further development of sustainability requirements, supply chain traceability, alignment with legal requirements, accreditation, quality management and integrity program
- Support the application of new digital tools for audit processes
- Perform data research, analysis and evaluations for specific customer requests and the preparation of reports and market studies
- Implement the concepts and processes together with customers
- Support the further development of the service portfolio and manage proposals and tenders
- Responsible for the whole project lifecycle including scheduling, stakeholder management, documentation, controlling, preparation and participation in client meetings and project workshops
- Support communication and public relations of the certification system
- Perform company presentations at public national and international events
Requirements
- University degree in agricultural science, organic agriculture, environmental engineering, natural resource management, natural sciences, life sciences, sustainable management, or other related fields
- Basic knowledge in GHG emissions accounting, GHG Protocol, ISO, IPCC or similar standards and Lifecycle Assessments for different products
- Additional experience in sustainability certification, policy consulting, GHG/ carbon footprint calculation, stakeholder management is an advantage
- At least one year of professional experience in project management
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (both at least C1), other languages are an advantage
- Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex issues in simple terms
- High degree of initiative and commitment combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude
- Very good computer and MS Office skills as well as high general IT proficiency
- Good affinity with calculations, data analysis and data collection
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally upon request
