Intro
The Production Grower position at Tupu, a Berlin-based start-up, involves cultivating and harvesting mushroom products in a carbon-neutral, circular food production system. The role includes tasks such as receiving raw materials, maintaining cleanliness, harvesting, packing, and assisting with data tracking. Candidates should have an interest in mushroom cultivation, be comfortable with physical work, and possess a proactive attitude. The job may require early morning and late-night shifts in temperature-controlled environments. Experience with food safety and a driver's license are advantageous.
Tasks
- Receive and unload raw material shipments
- Prepare agricultural materials for grow rooms
- Harvest mushrooms, assemble packaging as needed
- Prepare spent agricultural products for composting
- Assist with data tracking and logging as needed
- Clean and sanitize facilities and equipment
- Adhere to proper practices for food safety
- Assist with fulfillment and warehouse tasks as needed
Requirements
- Interest in mushroom cultivation
- Comfort with hands-on, physical work
- A get-it-done, do-what-it-takes attitude, go the extra mile approach
- Ability to work in a variety of temperature controlled environments between 4-24°C
- Physical requirements: must be able to lift 14kg
- Experience with food safety and driver’s license (level B) are a plus
