Intro
Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin (KWB) is offering an internship and Bachelor thesis opportunity for measuring and evaluating nitrous oxide emissions and sulphur balance at the Schönerlinde wastewater treatment plant. The role involves conducting measurement campaigns, researching nitrous oxide formation and sulphur conversion, and creating a dynamic process model. Candidates should have a background in environmental technology, environmental engineering, or process engineering, with an interest in applied research in the water sector. Knowledge of process modelling software and a German language proficiency of B2 level are required.
Tasks
- Taking grab samples on site and operation of automatic samplers
- On site wastewater measurements
- Communication with laboratory and partners
Requirements
- Studying environmental technology, environmental engineering, process engineering or similar
- Interest in applied research and practical work in the water sector
- Interest in process modelling with common software
- Driving licence class B
- Ability to work independently with reliable time management
- Communication skills in German (B2)
